December 30, 2012 - Uggie will be meeting fans & signing his new book in Pasadena today

The lovely & talented Jack Russel terrior Uggie (star of The Artist & Water for Elephants) will be signing copies of his new book  Uggie: My Story and posing for pictures at Vroman's Bookstore today!  The signing starts at 2:00 p.m.

October 19, 2012 - Uggie "signs" his new book tonight at the Third Street Promenade

Not sure how I feel about this event, but I'll let you all be the judge  Uggie the adorable Jack Russel terrier who starred in The Artist, Water for Elephants and other movies is stopping by Barnes & Noble at the Third Street Promenade at 7:00 PM!  Uggie will be meeting fans and will have his paw pressed in ink in order to put his paw print in copies of his new book Uggie: My Story!

February 25, 2012 - Free admission to a discussion with all the Oscar-nominated editors or 2011


Free admission to the Invisible Art, Visible Artists Oscar-Nominated Editors Seminar at 10:00 a.m. in Hollywood!  Editors scheduled to appear today at the Egyptian Theatre are:
  • Anne-Sophie Bion and Michael Hazanavicius nominated for The Artist
  • Thelma Schoonmaker nominated for Hugo
  • Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall nominated for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
  • Kevin Tent  nominated for The Descendants
  • Christopher Tellefsen nominated for Moneyball
 While this event is free, it's first come, first served.  The Egyptian Theatre has 1,770 seats, so you'll want to get there early.  The historic Egyptian Theatre is located at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard and directions can be found here

February 17, 2012 - Free admission to the 20th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition

The 20th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition has FREE admission from now till April 28th at the FIDM!  See costumes from all the nominated films this year (Anonymous, The Artist, Hugo, Jane Eyre and W.E.) as well as costumes from Alice in Wonderland (including Johnny Depp's wardrobe as The Mad Hatter), My Week with Marilyn, Thor, Captain America, The Help, Immortals and plenty of others!  Check them out here to see pictures and get a feel for the exhibit and watch the YouTube video below to give you a feel for what to expect.  The exhibition is Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 24, 2012 - RSVP for FREE screening of 'The Artist' followed by a discussion with the cast and crew


Really nice FREE screening of 'The Artist' followed by a discussion with the cast and crew tonight at the Director's Guild of America!  The screening starts at 7:30 p.m. in theater #1 and please arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime.  There is limited seating and RSVPs are not guaranteed a seat, so it's important to arrive early.  The Director's Guild of America is located at 7920 West Sunset Boulevard (right off Sunset & Fairfax).  RSVP by e-mailing TheArtistRSVPLA@gmail.comFREE parking is also available.

January 20, 2012 - Uggie from 'The Artist' is stopping by The Grove today


  
Uggie is dropping by The Grove today to meet fans and do an "interview" with Extra at 1:30 PM!  Uggie is the adorable Jack Russell Terrier who stole the show at the Golden Globes on Sunday and has recently appeared in the movies 'The Artist' and 'Water for Elephants.'  This appearance is happening right next to the Pacific Theatres at The Grove.  The Grove is located at 189 The Grove Drive and directions can be found here.  For additional information, please call The Grove at (323) 900-8080.
