The free Invisible Art, Visible Artists Editors Seminar with this year's Oscar-nominated editors is taking place at the Egyptian Theatre today!  The event starts at 10:00 a.m. and seating is on a first come, first served basis.  Doors open at 9:00 a.m., so arrive early.  Those scheduled to attend include:

The The 6th Annual Toscars take place tonight at the Egyptian Theatre!  Celebrities (Eric Roberts, Janina Gavankar, Brea Bee, Doris Roberts, Rex Lee, Joanne Whalley, Tehmina SunnyBruce Vilanch and others) will begin arriving and walking the red carpet at 6:00 p.m.  Photo and/or autograph opportunities may be available as stars arrive.  Tickets are also available to purchase here.

The classic 1929 movie Taming of the Shrew starring Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks screens at the Egyptian Theatre today at 2:00 PM!  In addition to the film, 3 short films will also be shown:  The Dream (1911, 9 minutes), Mary Pickford's Cousin's Wedding (1925, 3 minutes) and Screen Snapshots Series 9, No. 14 (1930, 10 minutes).  Following the screening, author and historian Christel Schmidt will discuss and sign her fascinating new book Mary Pickford: Queen of the Movies in the lobby.

The new documentary Craigslist Joe has a free screening tonight at the Egyptian Theatre!  Following the screening, star/producer/director Joseph Garner, executive producer Uday Sehgal, cinematographer Kevin Flint and editor Drew Kilcoin will take the stage for a question and answer session.  This event starts at 7:30 p.m., with free admission on a first come, first served basis.  The Egyptian Theatre is huge, but you should arrive early to ensure you make it in.
