Free admission to the Observation, Passion & Imagination: The Art of Production Design at 3:00 p.m. in Hollywood!  Production designers scheduled to appear today at the Egyptian Theatre are:

• Production designer Laurence Bennett and set decorator Robert Gould for The Artist
• Production designer Stuart Craig and set decorator Stephenie McMillan for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
• Production designer Dante Ferretti and set decorator Francesca Lo Schiavo for Hugo
• Production designer Anne Seibel and set decorator Hélène Dubreuil for Midnight in Paris
• Production designer Rick Carter and set decorator Lee Sandales for War Horse

 While this event is free, it's first come, first served.  The Egyptian Theatre has 1,770 seats, so you'll want to get there early.  The historic Egyptian Theatre is located at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard and directions can be found here. 

Also, if you're hungry before or after the event, visit our friends at either the Pig 'N Whistle or Maui and Sons Bar & Grill for some excellent food.  Show your waiter or waitress your ticket stub and they'll give you a 10% discount on your check.

February 17, 2012 - Free admission to the 20th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition

The 20th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition has FREE admission from now till April 28th at the FIDM!  See costumes from all the nominated films this year (Anonymous, The Artist, Hugo, Jane Eyre and W.E.) as well as costumes from Alice in Wonderland (including Johnny Depp's wardrobe as The Mad Hatter), My Week with Marilyn, Thor, Captain America, The Help, Immortals and plenty of others!  Check them out here to see pictures and get a feel for the exhibit and watch the YouTube video below to give you a feel for what to expect.  The exhibition is Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
