The premiere of the highly anticipated movie Hitchcock premieres at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater tonight! Cast members (Sir Anthony Hopkins, Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson, James D'Arcy, Michael Stuhlbarg, Dame Helen Mirren, Ralph Macchio and others) and filmmakers are all scheduled to start walking the red
carpet at 6:00 p.m. If you're planning on attending for celebrity
spotting, I highly recommend arriving early. Hitchcock had a soft premiere at the AFI Fest on November 1st, but this time most of the cast are expected to attend.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Bram Stoker's Dracula with a screening and question and answer session with crew members at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater tonight at 7:30 PM!
The question and answer session will feature the following crew members, Academy Award-winning Makeup Artists Greg Cannom, Michèle Burke and Matthew W. Mungle, as well as Academy Award-winning Special Effects Sound Editors Tom C. McCarthy and David E. Stone. The question and answer session will also be moderated by Variety's David S. Cohen.
Tickets are only $5.00 on The Academy of Mother Pictures Arts and Sciences website, however, Goldstar has tickets available for only $2.00 after service fees.

The 1925 silent film The Phantom of the Opera screens tonight starting at 7:30 PM! 103-year-old Carla Laemmle (who dances as Prima Ballerina in the film and niece of Carl Laemmle), Ron Chaney (grandson of star Lon Chaney) and film historian/producer/director/writer Kevin Brownlow are all scheduled to be in attendance!

Argo premieres at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater tonight in Beverly Hills! The stars (Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Chris Messina, Clea DuVall, Alan Arkin, Adrienne Barbeau & other cast members), filmmakers (George Clooney, Grant Heslov & others) and Tony Mendez (the man the movie is based on) are scheduled to walk the red carpet starting at 6:00 p.m. If you're planning on attending to spot celebrities as they arrive, I highly recommend arriving early.

August 15, 2012 - Bigger, Faster, Stronger, Stranger: The Science of Hollywood Superheroes panel in Beverly Hills tonight
Don't Try This at Home! The Physics of Hollywood Movies author Adam Weiner is hosting Bigger, Faster, Stronger, Stranger: The Science of Hollywood Superheroes tonight at 7:30 PM! General admission is $5.00, but tickets are only $2.00 after service fees here. The panel will be shown clips from various superhero films and then discuss the science behind the characters and scenes. The panel includes:
- Visual effects artist Spencer Cook who worked on Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3 and Blade.

- Zack Stentz who wrote the screenplays for Thor and X-Men: First Class.
- Scientists E. Paul Zehr and Sean B. Carroll (who was also an advisor on Thor) will also be on the panel giving their insight.
