August 5, 2013 - Disney's new animated film Planes premieres tonight at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood

The  new movie Planes premieres tonight at Disney's El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood!  Stars who voiced characters from the movie (Dane Cook, Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Priyanka Chopra, Cedric the Entertainer, Carlos Alazraqui, Roger Craig Smith, Anthony Edwards, Sinbad, Gabriel Iglesias & Colin Cowherd) and the filmmakers (Klay Hall, John Lasseter and other) will all be attending.  There's also a large list of celebrity guests attending that includes:  MMA legend & IMPACT Wrestling star "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Tito Ortiz, Alyssa Milano, Andy Richter, Alison Sweeney, Catherine Bell, Jaime Pressly and many others!

They're all scheduled to walk the red carpet starting at 5:00 p.m.  If you're planning on attending, I'd highly recommend arriving early.

Tim Burton's 2005 animated movie Corpse Bride has a free screening tonight!  This event is taking place at 10:00 p.m. at the Aero Theatre.  No tickets for this event, as it's first come, first served.  The theatre seats 435 people, so arrive early.

November 16, 2012 - Free live music and screening of Arthur Christmas at The Grove tonight

RSVP for a free holiday celebration taking place at The Grove tonight, that the whole family will enjoy!  The Sun Kings (an excellent Beatles tribute band) will play live music from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and the animated movie Arthur Christmas will begin screening at 8:00 p.m. 

Doors open at 5:00 p.m., but you must RSVP by e-mailing amy@tilpr.com.  Seating is limited, so arrive early after you RSVP.  This event is taking place outdoors on Gilmore Lane at The Grove, so dress warm and enjoy yourselves!

Patton Oswalt (who voiced Ratatouille) is hosting The Animated Feature Symposium, featuring the 2011 Academy Award nominees for Best Animated Feature.  The nominees scheduled to speak include the following:

February 16, 2012 - Free screening of Disney's The Secret World of Arrietty tonight

The new Walt Disney Studios and Studio Ghibli movie 'The Secret World of Arrietty' opens tomorrow, but you can see it tonight FREE!  The screening is at 7:30 p.m. tonight at The James Bridges Theater (Melnitz 1409) at UCLA.  While this is a free screening, the theater seats 278 people, so please arrive early to ensure your seat.

•  UCLA is located at 405 Hilgard Avenue in Los Angeles and directions can be found here.
• From Hilgard Ave. enter the east side of campus at Wyton Dr.
• Make and immediate right turn onto Charles E. Young Dr. East and signs will direct you to Parking Structure 3.

February 14, 2012 - The Simpsons creator Matt Groening is getting his star on the Walk of Fame today

Cartoonist, screenwriter and producer Matt Groening is celebrating the 500th episode of The Simpsons by getting his star on the Walk of Fame.  In addition to creating The Simpsons, Matt Groening also created Futurama and Life in Hell.  Guest speakers at the ceremony are Hank Azaria (who voices Moe Szyslak, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Chief Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, Carl Carlson and others on The Simpsons), Nancy Cartwright (who voices Bart Simpson) and Yeardley Smith (who voices Lisa Simpson).

 The ceremony starts at 11:30 a.m. at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard (on the corner of Sycamore) and directions can be found here.

The Egyptian Theatre is honoring writer, creator, animator and voice over actor Bill Kopp today!  Plenty of his animated classics like "Toonsylvania"will be shown, followed by a Q&A with Bill Kopp and voice over actors Brad Garrett, Billy West (who's also known for his years on the Howard Stern Show), Tom Kenny, Jess Harnell, Jeff DeGrandis and Margaret Loesch at 7:30 p.m.  This is a free event, but they would appreciate a $10.00 donation.  The Egyptian Theatre is located at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood.  Details can be found here and directions can be found here.
