October 30, 2012 - The Phantom of the Opera screens tonight with special guests in attendance

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have been getting you ready for Halloween all month long and they have one final classic from Universal's Legacy of Horror tonight at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater!

The 1925 silent film The Phantom of the Opera screens tonight starting at 7:30 PM!  103-year-old Carla Laemmle (who dances as Prima Ballerina in the film and niece of Carl Laemmle), Ron Chaney (grandson of star Lon Chaney) and film historian/producer/director/writer Kevin Brownlow are all scheduled to be in attendance!

Tickets for this special event are are now on sale for only $5.00 and can be purchased here with no service fees.  Tickets can be printed out or picked up at the will call window once you arrive.

The Samuel Goldwyn Theater is located at 8949 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills and directions can be found here.

The 1922 silent horror classic Nosferatu screens at the Egyptian Theatre with a live musical accompaniment with Cliff Retallick on piano!  This special screening starts at 4:00 p.m.  General admission is $11.00 and tickets can be purchased at the box office or online at Fandango.

The historic Egyptian Theatre is located at 6712  Hollywood Boulevard and directions can be found here

If you buy your tickets early and you're hungry before or after the screening, show your ticket stub to our friends at either the Pig 'N Whistle or Maui and Sons Bar & Grill for a 10% discount.
