February 23, 2013 - The free Invisible Art, Visible Artists Editors Seminar takes place at Egyptian Theatre today


The free Invisible Art, Visible Artists Editors Seminar with this year's Oscar-nominated editors is taking place at the Egyptian Theatre today!  The event starts at 10:00 a.m. and seating is on a first come, first served basis.  Doors open at 9:00 a.m., so arrive early.  Those scheduled to attend include:

February 20, 2013 - Vanity Fair is throwing a party for the cast and filmmakers of Les Misérables tonight

Vanity Fair is throwing a party for the cast (Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and others) and filmmakers of Les Misérables tonight!  This private event is taking place at Eveleigh Restaurant from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  While this is a private event, there may be some photo and/or autograph opportunities.

January 19, 2013 - Crimes and Misdemeanors & Ed Wood both screen with a Martin Landau Q&A at the Aero Theatre tonight

The 1989 movie Crimes and Misdemeanors and the 1994 movie Ed Wood both screen starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Aero Theatre tonight!  In between films, there will be a question and answer session with star Martin Landau that will be moderated by author and film historian Foster HirschMartin Landau was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Crimes and Misdemeanors and won an Oscar for his role in Ed Wood.

Tickets to this event can be purchased at the box office or online here.  General admission is $11.00.  Events at the Aero Theatre are always very intimate and special, as the theatre only seats 435 people.

February 9, 2012 - Free screening of all the 2012 Oscar-Nominated Short Films

See all the 2012 Oscar-Nominated Short Films in the categories of animation, live action and documentaries free!  The screening is at 6:30 p.m. tonight at The James Bridges Theater (Melnitz 1409) at UCLA.  While this is a free screening, the theater seats 278 people, so please arrive early to ensure your seat.

Directions and Parking:

  •  UCLA is located at 405 Hilgard Avenue in Los Angeles and directions can be found here.
  • From Hilgard Ave. enter the east side of campus at Wyton Dr.
  • Make and immediate right turn onto Charles E. Young Dr. East and signs will direct you to Parking Structure 3.
  • From the ground level of Structure 3, enter the underpass (or from the street level cross Charles E. Young Dr. North and proceed down steps) and walk straight alongside Melnitz and Macgowan Halls.
  • Turn left at the plaza and proceed to the courtyard of theaters.
