The Los Angeles, Italia continues today at the Chinese 6 Theatres at the Hollywood & Highland Center!  The events are all free and open to the public!  First come, first served seating and some require RSVPing by e-mail.  Arrive early.

Today the schedule includes the following:

• The Human Cargo premieres at 9:30 a.m.

• The historical documentary Enrico Mattei screens at 11:20 a.m.

• A Song for Paradise premieres at 12:30 p.m. with director Nicola Di Francescantonio attending. 

• Us in the Us premieres at 2:10 p.m.

•  The comedy The Illegal Prince (2013) premieres at 4:10 p.m.  RSVP by e-mailing siani@LosAngelesItalia.com.

•  The romantic comedy Letters to Juliet (2010) screens at 6:00 p.m. with star  Franco Nero attending.  RSVP by e-mailing FrancoNero@LosAngelesItalia.com.

• Los Angeles, Italia 2013 Awards Ceremony honoring Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari at 8:00 p.m.  Following the ceremony, La Sesion Cubana premieres.  RSVP by e-mailing zucchero_chinese@LosAngelesItalia.com.

The Los Angeles, Italia continues today at the Chinese 6 Theatres at the Hollywood & Highland Center!  The events are all free and open to the public!  First come, first served seating.  Arrive early.

Some of these events were originally listed with e-mail addresses to RSVP earlier and were removed shortly after.  I would recommend calling or e-mailing to confirm they're still open to attend without RSVPing though.

Today the schedule includes the following:

•  Western Django Kill... If You Live, Shoot! (1967) screens at 9:00 a.m.

• The drama Il caso Mattei (1972, also known as The Mattei Affair) screens at 11:00 a.m.

•  Documentary short Artisan Resistance (2012) screens at 1:15 p.m. with director/writer Antonio Manco attending.  Following the screening, The Usual Idiots Part 2 (2012) premieres.

• The drama The Merchant of Venice (2004) screens at 3:40 p.m.

• The drama Itaker (2012) premieres at 6:10 p.m. with director/writer Toni Trupia and writer/star Michele Placido attending.

•  The comedy See You Tomorrow (2013) premieres at 8:00 p.m. with writer/director Andrea Zaccariello, star Enrico Brignano and producer Giuseppe Pedersoli attending.

•  Director Quentin Tarantino and actors Christoph Waltz and  Franco Nero will all be honored as the Spaghetti Western Masters at 9:30 p.m. 

• Documentary Franco Nero: The Man of a Thousand Faces and western  Django (1966) screen starting at 10:00 p.m.

February 22, 2012 - Free screening of Jonathan of the Bears at Italia Fest followed by a Q&A with star Franco Nero

Italia Fest continues in Hollywood today with lots of free screenings & special appearances.  The 1988 movie Jonathan of the Bears is screening free at 8:00 PM, followed by a special question and answer session with star Franco Nero.  This is a free event, but you have to RSVP by e-mailing franconero@losangelesitalia.com and please arrive at the theater early.
