January 6, 2012 - Struck by Lightning premieres in Hollywood today

Struck by Lightning premieres at the Chinese 6 Theatres at the Hollywood & Highland Center today!  The cast (Chris Colfer, Rebel Wilson, Christina Hendricks, Dermot Mulroney, Sarah Hyland, Allison Janney and other cast members) and filmmakers are scheduled to start arriving at 4:00 p.m.  This is being held at the smaller multiplex upstairs, so I'm not sure how they'll have it set up.  If you're planning on attending to celebrity watch, arrive early.

January 4, 2013 - Enter to win tickets to attend the Struck by Lightning premiere on 1/6 in Hollywood

Struck by Lightning premieres on Sunday at the Chinese 6 Theatres at the Hollywood & Highland Center!  I'll e-mail a pair of printable tickets to to the winner of the contest (please read the rules below).  The cast and filmmakers will begin arriving at 4:00 p.m.  In addition to the stars from the movie being in attendance, writer/star Chris Colfer will be doing a question and answer session following the movie!

Twitter followers please enter your user name below.  In the past, some have had issues entering their user names, if you do, just tweet me and ask to be entered in the contest.  On Saturday at 10:00 p.m. I'll enter all your names at Random.org, a winner will be picked and I'll notify the winner.  Since this is a time sensitive contest, the winner will have 20 minutes to send me their e-mail address.  If I the winner doesn't contact me in 20 minutes, I'll move to the next person on the list until a winner is found.  Before you enter, please make sure you can follow these rules:

1. Please make sure you and your guest both actually intend on attending.  If there are any issues after you win the tickets, please contact me so I can give the tickets to someone else.
2.  The premiere is taking place at the smaller Chinese 6 Theatres multiplex upstairs.  These tickets don't guarantee entry, so it's very important the winner and their guest arrive early.  I'd recommend arriving around 1:00 or 2:00 p.m.  If you're the first people there, there's plenty of things to do at the Hollywood & Highland Center to kill time till people start lining up.  If you're planning on arriving at 4:00 p.m., I'd almost guarantee you won't make it in.
3. Since this is a premiere, you're asked to dress to impress.  I'd recommend business casual.

December 7, 2012 - Jane Lynch, Mark Hamill and Kenny G will be reading Elfbot tonight in Glendale

December 3, 2012 - Delhi Safari premieres tonight at The Grove

The new movie Delhi Safari premieres at the Pacific's The Grove Stadium 14 tonight!  Voice talent from the movie (Jane Lynch, Cary Elwes, Christopher Lloyd, Vanessa Williams, Tom Kenny, Brad Garrett, Jason Alexander and others) and filmmakers are scheduled to walk the red carpet.  I have a start time of 7:00 p.m., but I'm not sure if that's when the stars will begin arriving or when the screening starts.  If you're planning on attending for celebrity spotting, I highly recommend arriving early.

This is a wristbanded event, so you'll want to buy the book once the doors at Barnes & Noble open at 9:00 AM to ensure getting your book signed when  Chris Colfer arrives at 6:00 PM.  If you can't be at Barnes & Noble when they open, please call and make sure wristbands are still available before you head over.   Each customer may get up to 3 books signed.

November 1, 2012 - Usain Bolt is throwing a private party for "The Beast" Yohan Blake with lots of celebrities attending

Usain Bolt is throwing a private party for friend and fellow Olympian "The Beast" Yohan Blake tonight with many celebrities expected to attend!  Cast members from Glee, Sean Kingston, Vanessa Williams, Metta WorldPeace, Brandy, The Wayans Brothers, many Olympians, Quinton Aaron, Shanola Hampton, many other professional athletes and celebrities are all scheduled to attend!

This event is taking place at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills (across the street from the Beverly Center) and the celebrities should start arriving at 8:00 p.m. 

While this is a private party, if you dress nicely and behave yourself, you shouldn't have any problems sitting in the lobby watching celebrities arrive or snapping pictures of the celebrities as they arrive from the sidewalk.

Disclaimer:  I enjoy posting these celebrity appearances at The Grove, however, lately I've seriously considered not posting them any longer.  Extra often tweets or posts these appearances on their website, people show up (sometimes driving hours), only to find out the celebrity was rescheduled or they decided to make it a private interview at the last minute.  This often results in a headache for the fans and I.

Most of the time Extra doesn't update their website to mention the appearances being changed on Twitter.  The rare times Extra has mentioned a schedule change, I haven't been online to make mention of it.  So many times I get online to find messages from disappointed fans showing up at these appearances.

January 26, 2012 - Michael Jackson's children, Justin Bieber and MORE attending ceremony in his honor

There's a unique ceremony honoring "The King of Pop" Michael Jackson at Grauman's Chinese Theatre starting at 11:00 AM.  Michael Jackson's children Paris, Blanket and Prince will be taking their father's shoes and iconic sequined glove to dip in cement for his hand and footprint ceremony.  Family members Tito, Marlon and Jackie Jackson will also be on hand for the ceremony.  Confirmed celebrities scheduled to attend the event are Justin Bieber, Smokey Robinson, Glee stars Amber Riley and Harry Shum, Jr., Chris Tucker, Quincy Jones a performance by Cirque Du Soleil and more!

Glee star Jane Lynch discusses and signs her new autobiography 'Happy Accidents' today at 2:00 PM at the Santa Monica Public Library in the MLK Jr. Auditorium.  The Santa Monica Public Library is located at 601 Santa Monica Boulevard and directions can be found here.
