March 28, 2013 - G.I. Joe: Retaliation premieres at the Chinese Theatre tonight

G.I. Joe: Retaliation premieres at the Chinese Theatre tonight!  Stars from the movie (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Jonathan Pryce, Byung-hun Lee, Elodie Yung, Ray Stevenson, D.J. Cotrona, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park & other cast members), the filmmakers and other celebrity guests are scheduled to begin walking the red carpet at 6:30 p.m.  If you're planning on attending for celebrity spotting, I highly recommend arriving early.

The historic Chinese Theatre is located at 6925 Hollywood Boulevard and directions can be found here.  You can park at Hollywood & Highland Center for 2 hours for $2.00 after validation (which you can get at the information booth without having to purchase anything).   

March 24, 2013 - It's G.I. Joe: Retaliation "Americana Day" at Golden Apple Comics today with lots of freebies and fun

Golden Apple Comics is celebrating the upcoming movie G.I. Joe: Retaliation with "Americana Day" today at the store from 12-2 PM!  This is a free event, so arrive early as many are expected to attend.  The event features the following:

• G.I. Joe: Retaliation star Elodie Yung (who plays Jinx in the film) will be meeting fans and signing free autographs!

•  Carl's Jr. will be on hand serving free Western Bacon Cheeseburgers, fries and soft drinks!

•  Marinello Schools of Beauty will be giving fans free camouflage manicures and makeup!

• Free prizes will be available from the movie.

• The first 100 fans to arrive will receive a free Americana Italian Ice from Mustache Mike's.

•  Madame Tussauds will have a life-size wax figure of actor and WWE Champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson that fans will be able to pose for photos with!

• Fans will be able to test their shooting skills with free paintball target practice, courtesy of Paintball USA!

• Our friends at Power 106 will be on hand playing music and doing giveaways!

• You'll have an opportunity to write a letter to our brave troops courtesy of Operation Gratitude!

• Golden Apple Comics will also have 20% off all merchandise in the store!
