March 31, 2013 - Update on the blog and my Twitter account

I wanted to update you all on this blog and my Twitter account.  I really love posting local events, helping many of you get tickets to events and I've really come to love and care about many of you.  Your sweet messages always uplift me.

Doing the blog allows me to take my mind off some of the more difficult issues I'm dealing with and have an escape.  I've been unemployed a few years now, it's not easy finding work to begin with, let alone being out of work for a few years.  I've started to feel helpless and hopeless.  I've ran through most of my savings (no government help) and now I find myself in a very difficult situation.  There's other issues as well, some foreseen and some unforeseen.

I don't like being a downer, so I don't take joy in having to post this message.  Unfortunately, the blog and my Twitter account are both going to have to take a hiatus.  My hope is I'll be able to get the blog back up and running in a month or two.  I still have some messages that will launch reminding people of some events like Shark Lagoon Nights on Saturdays, but I probably won't be posting many (if any) new events.

Normally, I wouldn't want to post a message like this, but I didn't want to just leave without saying anything.  Many who I've come to know have really lifted my spirits with their messages and support.  Thank you all!  Hope to be back soon.

March 29, 2013 Megan Arial has a free concert at CityWalk tonight

The Music Spotlight Series continues tonight with pop singer Megan Arial hitting the stage at Universal Studios CityWalk Hollywood to perform a free concert for fans tonight!  The concert is taking place from 7-10 p.m. at CityWalk's 5 Towers Concert Venue.  In addition to being free, this concert is also outdoors, so dress warm.

Country singer Wynonna Judd is stopping by The Grove to meet fans and discuss being on the new season of Dancing with the Stars with Extra today at 10:00 AM!  Look for the Extra flags or ask the friendly staff at The Grove where they're filming today.

March 28, 2013 - G.I. Joe: Retaliation premieres at the Chinese Theatre tonight

G.I. Joe: Retaliation premieres at the Chinese Theatre tonight!  Stars from the movie (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Jonathan Pryce, Byung-hun Lee, Elodie Yung, Ray Stevenson, D.J. Cotrona, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park & other cast members), the filmmakers and other celebrity guests are scheduled to begin walking the red carpet at 6:30 p.m.  If you're planning on attending for celebrity spotting, I highly recommend arriving early.

The historic Chinese Theatre is located at 6925 Hollywood Boulevard and directions can be found here.  You can park at Hollywood & Highland Center for 2 hours for $2.00 after validation (which you can get at the information booth without having to purchase anything).   

March 28, 2013 - Pieces (of Ass) returns to celebrate the 10th Anniversary tonight in Hollywood

The play Pieces (of Ass) returns to Hollywood to celebrate the 10th Anniversary tonight at the Henry Fonda Theatre!  Celebrities (Cameron Diaz, Moby, Mark Cuban, Seth Green, Zachary Levi, Brandi Glanville, Brande Roderick, Shanna Moakler, Andy Dick, Luke Perry, Ben Feldman, Jill Wagner, Amber Smith and many others) are scheduled to begin arriving at 7:00 p.m. to walk the pink carpet!  Tickets can be purchased here.

• The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo is scheduled to arrive at 1:30 p.m. and discuss the new book Let Me Tell You Something: Life as a Real Housewife, Tough-Love Mother, and Street-Smart Businesswoman. 

•  Justin Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette is scheduled to arrive at 2:30 p.m. and discuss the troubles her son has been dealing with lately.

• Country singer Keith Urban is scheduled to arrive at 3:00 p.m. and discuss his Light The Fuse Tour.

March 28, 2013 - Caroline Manzo signs her new book at The Grove tonight

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo is stopping by Barnes & Noble at The Grove to meet fans and sign her new book Let Me Tell You Something: Life as a Real Housewife, Tough-Love Mother, and Street-Smart Businesswoman at 7:00 PM!

This is a wristbanded event, so you'll want to buy the book once the doors at Barnes & Noble open at 9:00 AM to ensure getting your book signed when  Caroline Manzo arrives at 7:00 PM.  If you can't be at Barnes & Noble when they open, please call and make sure wristbands are still available before you head over.
