With The Muppets being honored in Hollywood this morning and the release of The Muppets on DVD today, I thought it might be fun to list some of the local locations used in the 2011 film:
- Greystone Mansion was the location used for Kermit's mansion. Greystone's Mansion and Park is located at 905 Loma Vista Drive in Beverly Hills and directions can be found here.
- The El Capitan Theatre and the Jim Henson Company Lot were used for scenes at "Muppet Studios." The El Capitan Theatre is located at 6838 Hollywood Boulevard and directions can be found here. The Jim Henson Company Lot is located at 1416 North La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles and directions can be found here.
- Miss Piggy's Vogue Paris editing office was actually filmed at the Pink Palace Mansion. The Pink Palace Mansion is located at 10100 Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills and directions can be found here.
- Tex Richman's office on the 51st floor was filmed at the City National Plaza (formally the headquarters for ARCO). The City National Plaza is located at 505 South Flower Street in Los Angeles and directions can be found here.
- The famous Pink's Hot Dogs was also used for a cameo in the film. Pink's Hot Dogs is located at 709 North La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles and directions can be found here.
