September 17, 2012 - End of Watch premieres tonight at L.A. LIVE

End of Watch premieres tonight at the Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14!  Stars from the movie (Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Peña, Natalie Martinez, Anna Kendrick, David Harbour, Frank Grillo, America Ferrera & other cast members) and the filmmakers are all scheduled to walk the red carpet starting at 6:00 p.m.  If you're planning on attending to see the celebrities as they arrive, I'd highly recommend getting there early.

Hope those of you who saw my earlier entry on getting tickets to the premiere enjoy yourselves!  If you missed out on tickets there's still hope!  I'll e-mail a printable pair of tickets to the first Twitter follower who tweets me asking for tickets.  Please only request tickets if you intend on attending the premiere with a guest and arriving early.  ***Update***  Congratulation to Leslie Stratton for winning the tickets!  I may do another ticket giveaway in a couple days, so keep your eyes open.

Celebrities are stopping by The Grove to meet fans and do interviews with Extra today!  The interviews will be taking place next to the Pacific Theatres at The Grove.  The schedule for the day includes the following:

• Actress Anna Kendrick is scheduled to arrive at 10:00 a.m. and discuss her new movie End of Watch.  Anna will also be atteding the End of Watch premiere tonight.

•  Actor and author Tony Danza is scheduled to arrive at 1:30 p.m. to discuss his new book I'd Like to Apologize to Every Teacher I Ever Had: My Year as a Rookie Teacher at Northeast High.  Tony is also doing a book signing tonight in Los Feliz.

Disclaimer:  I enjoy posting these celebrity appearances at The Grove, however, lately I've seriously considered not posting them any longer.  Extra often tweets or posts these appearances on their website, people show up (sometimes driving hours), only to find out the celebrity was rescheduled or they decided to make it a private interview at the last minute.  This often results in a headache for the fans and I.

Most of the time Extra doesn't update their website to mention the appearances being changed on Twitter.  The rare times Extra has mentioned a schedule change, I haven't been online to make mention of it.  So many times I get online to find messages from disappointed fans showing up at these appearances.

For now, I'll continue posting these appearances.  I'd strongly caution anyone planning on attending and ask that they double check by calling (323) 900-8080 before wasting their time driving over for nothing.

Country music group Rascal Flatts (Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney) are being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 11:30 a.m. today!  David Foster will be a guest speaker at the ceremony.

September 16, 2012 - The Trouble with the Truth screens followed by a Q&A with stars Lea Thompson, John Shea and director Jim Hemphill

The Trouble with the Truth screens at 4:00 p.m. at the Aero Theatre followed by a question and answer session with stars Lea Thompson, John Shea and writer/director Jim Hemphill!  Tickets to this event can be purchased at the box office or online here.  General admission is $11.00.  Events at the Aero Theatre are always very intimate and special, as the theatre only seats 435 people.

Two big red carpet premieres this week and I know how you can attend free!  First, if you're not a member of Gofobo register here.  Next, you'll be able to print out tickets to the End of Watch and Trouble with the Curve red carpet premieres!  Hurry though, these tickets won't last long.  Here's the details:

• The End of Watch premiere is taking place on September 17th at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Having tickets doesn't guarantee getting in, so it's important that you arrive early.  My advice would be 2-3 hours before the celebrities start arriving.

The 1987 horror movie The Lost Boys celebrates its 25th Anniversary with a screening followed by a question and answer session with star Corey Feldman!  There will also be a costume contest and prizes.  Arrive early, as the first 200 fans will be given a limited edition poster (not the one pictured above) commemorating this event!
