The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is celebrating the 60th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin's 1952 movie Limelight with a screening and Q&A at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater!  The question and answer session will feature co-stars Claire Bloom and Norman Lloyd and this event starts at 7:30 PM!

Tickets for this special event are only $5.00 and can be purchased here with no service fees.  Tickets can be printed out or picked up at the will call window once you arrive.

Lots of celebrities are stopping by The Grove to meet fans and do interviews with Extra today!  The interviews will be taking place next to the Pacific Theatres at The Grove.  The schedule for the day includes the following: 

• Actress Cynthia Nixon is scheduled to arrive at 1:00 p.m. and discuss World Without End.
  

•  The men from Jersey Shore scheduled to arrive at 2:00 p.m. and discuss the final season of the show.

•  Twilight actress Ashley Greene is scheduled to arrive at 2:30 p.m. and discuss The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. 

• Actor/rapper LL Cool J is scheduled to arrive at 3:15 p.m. and discuss NCIS: Los Angeles.

•  Actress/writer Nikki Reed is scheduled to arrive at 3:45 p.m. and discuss The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Disclaimer:  I enjoy posting these celebrity appearances at The Grove, however, lately I've seriously considered not posting them any longer.  Extra often tweets or posts these appearances on their website, people show up (sometimes driving hours), only to find out the celebrity was rescheduled or they decided to make it a private interview at the last minute.  This often results in a headache for the fans and I.

Most of the time Extra doesn't update their website to mention the appearances being changed on Twitter.  The rare times Extra has mentioned a schedule change, I haven't been online to make mention of it.  So many times I get online to find messages from disappointed fans showing up at these appearances.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will be getting you ready for Halloween with some incredible events, as they present Universal's Legacy of Horror all month long at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater!  Tonight writer/producer/director Guillermo del Toro will be hosting a screening of both the 1935 movie The Bride of Frankenstein and the 1931 classic Dracula at 7:30 PM!

October 2, 2012 - Broken Kingdom premieres in Los Angeles tonight

Broken Kingdom premieres at the Harmony Gold Theater tonight!  The stars (Daniel Gillies, Rachael Leigh Cook and other cast member), celebrity guests (Shannon Elizabeth, Seth Green, LeVar Burton, Warren Kole, Azita Ghanizada, Vincent Spano, David Anders, Roger Bart, Ed Quinn and others) and the filmmakers are all scheduled to start walking the red carpet at 6:00 p.m.  This is a private event, but you're welcome to watch the celebrities arrive.

Actor Mark Harmon is being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 11:30 a.m. today!  CBS President & Chief Executive Officer Les Moonves will be the guest speaker at the ceremony.
